Ethical Investment Portfolio: Balancing Growth and Stability

Over the past few months, I’ve been building an ethically aligned investment portfolio— one that balances growth, stability, and long-term purpose.

It avoids interest-based or non-ethical sectors while staying focused on innovation, sustainability, and real-world value creation.

💰 Portfolio Allocation (October 2025)

Below is the current allocation, designed to balance defensive assets like gold with growth sectors such as EVs, AI, and biotech.

🧠 Gold: The Defensive Core (38.5%)

Gold remains the anchor of stability, offering a hedge against inflation and market turbulence.
Holdings in AAAU and GLD represent both physical and paper-backed gold — protecting long-term value rather than chasing short-term gains.

📈 Ethical U.S. Equity ETFs (24.4%)

Funds like SPUS and HLAL give access to major U.S. companies screened for ethical standards — avoiding interest, alcohol, and other non-compliant sectors while staying exposed to mainstream growth.

⚡ EV & Battery Tech (19.9%)

This segment captures the transition to clean energy:

  • Li Auto (LI) – growth in China’s EV market
  • Solid Power (SLDP) – next-gen solid-state batteries
  • Blink Charging (BLNK) – charging infrastructure expansion

High-potential, forward-looking, and directly tied to the sustainability shift.

🤖 AI & Data (8.1%)

Innodata (INOD) represents the AI infrastructure powering tomorrow’s digital systems — data processing, analytics, and automation.
A small but powerful allocation for the long-term tech curve.

🧬 Biotech (5.8%)

I-Mab (IMAB) adds exposure to medical innovation and biotechnology, supporting next-generation therapies and healthcare evolution.

💵 Cash Reserve (3.3%)

A modest cash position ensures flexibility — room to seize opportunities without liquidating strong holdings.

🌱 My Takeaway: Purpose-Driven Growth

This portfolio blends stability, innovation, and ethical conviction.
It’s built on three guiding principles:

  • Ethical alignment: Responsible, values-conscious investing
  • Resilience: Core protection through gold and diversification
  • Growth: Exposure to future industries like AI, EVs, and biotech

The goal isn’t speculation — it’s long-term, meaningful growth in industries shaping a better world.
